Christmas is a Pagan Holiday and not biblical!

Is Christmas a Pagan Holiday? Is Christmas biblical? In recent years more and more people have become aware that Christmas is pagan and that we as Christians who are faithful to the Bible should not be celebrating it. But is this true? See why the Bible says that Christmas is not biblical.

God warned the Believers not to celebrate Pagan Holidays

Actually, God has forbidden people in the Bible several times to celebrate pagan holidays and to conform to their customs. The following Bible verses speak for themselves:

When the Lord thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land; Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. Thou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God: for every abomination to the Lord, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods. (Deuteronomy 12:29-31)

In chapter Leviticus 18 of the Bible, God commanded the Israelites neither to adopt the pagan customs of the Egyptians nor to adapt to the Canaanites into whose land they were going.

And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the Lord your God. After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances. Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the Lord your God. Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the Lord. (Leviticus 18:1-5)

In 2 Kings 17, it is described how the Israelite tribes of the northern empire were abducted from Israel by the Assyrians because they kept pagan customs and followed their statutes. The Bible says:

For so it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the Lord their God, which had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods, And walked in the statutes of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made. (2 Kings 17:7-8)

So we see that celebrating Pagan Holidays or observing pagan customs does not please God and, in the case of the Israelites, had far-reaching consequences. By the way, the ten lost tribes of Israel have not returned to their land to this day.

Jeremiah describes a Pagan Custom very similar to Christmas

In the following passage, Jeremiah describes a pagan custom that is very similar to Christmas in terms of its customs.

Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. (Jeremiah 10:2-4)

In other words, decorating Christmas trees is pagan and not biblical.

Is Christmas a Pagan Holiday?

Yes, it is. The winter solstice is and was one of the most celebrated holidays for countless pagan cultures around the world. Therefore, it is no wonder that December 25th is actually not the birthday of Jesus, but the holiday of the pagan sun god Sol.

December 21st, which fell on the same day before the calendar change from the Julian to the Gregorian calendar, was the highest day in the pagan cult of Mithras, which was in full bloom at the time of early Christianity. Other customs that were adopted from Mithraism are still prevalent in the Catholic Church today, including the Christmas customs.

List of parallels between the cult of Mithras and the customs of the Catholic Church

A list of the parallels between Mithraism and Catholic Christianity can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mithraism_in_comparison_with_other_belief_systems#Mithraism_and_Christianity

List of other Pagan Holidays that fall on Christmas

Yule Festival, December 21st, old calendar – Northern European festival

Birthday of Horus (Egyptian god), December 21, old calendar – Egyptian festival

Wendling, December 24th – 26th – Franconian-Elbe-Germanic festival

Birthday of Tammuz (Babylonian god), December 25th – Babylonian festival

Birthday of Mithras, December 25th – Feast of Mithras cult

Holiday of Sol Invictus (Roman sun god), December 25th – Roman festival

Rauhnächte, December 24th – 26th – pagan festival (the Christian church later formed the Christmas festival from this)

The Catholic Church has set Christmas on a Pagan Holiday Date to convince the Pagans

The Catholic Church itself has admitted that they set Jesus’ birthday on the feast of the cult of Mithra in order to convince the pagans of Christianity. And that’s just one of the many examples of this practice. That the actions of the Catholic Church have so ensured that paganism continues to exist in all facets of our society, contradicts the words of God commanded in the Bible.

The biblical Holidays that God commanded can be found in the Bible

Now some of you will be wondering which holidays they should celebrate now. The Bible also gives a clear answer to this. In Leviticus 23 God commanded the Israelites which festivals they should celebrate. It should be pointed out that there is no trace of Christmas or even Easter to be found. Therefore, these holidays are not biblical.

The Sabbath (Leviticus 23:3)

The Passover (Leviticus 23:5-8)

The Feast of the Sheaf of First Fruits (Leviticus 23:10-14)

The Feast of Weeks – Shavuot (Leviticus 23:15-22)

The Feast of Trumpets – Rosh Hashanah (Leviticus 23:23-25)

The Day of Atonement – Yom Kippur (Leviticus 23:27-32)

The Feast of Tabernacles – Sukkot (Leviticus 23:33-43)

Note: Jesus didn’t abolish the Commandments and therefore they are still valid

The early Christians did not celebrate Christmas, but the biblical Holidays

Even the early Christians did not celebrate Christmas, but rather the holidays that God had commanded them. And even Jesus himself celebrated the Jewish holidays.

Now the Jew’s feast of tabernacles was at hand. […] But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret. (John 7:2,10)

Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover? And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples. And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover. Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve. (Matthew 26:17-20)

After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. (John 5:1)

Contrary to what many people teach, Paul kept the Jewish holidays as well. See what the Bible says:

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. (1 Corinthians 5:7-8)

When they desired him to tarry longer time with them, he consented not; But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus. (Acts 18:20-21)

Holidays like Pentecost, which are described in the Bible, are only modifications of the holidays that God commanded the Israelites. They also fall on the same date. This was also only an attempt by the church to distance itself from Judaism and to please the pagans.

Conclusion: Christmas is a Pagan Holiday and not biblical

In fact, there is not a single passage in the entire Bible where God tells people to celebrate Christmas. There is also no Bible passage that can be used to prove that Israelites or Christians celebrated Christmas. However, there is plenty of evidence that Jesus and the early Christians celebrated the biblical holidays of Leviticus 23, and therefore, we should follow their example. In fact, the prophets had already foretold that the Gentiles would celebrate the holidays and act according to the statutes of the Israelites. After all, Christmas remains a Pagan Holiday.

And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. (Zechariah 14:16-17)

And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. (Micah 4:2)

For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord. And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh. (Isaiah 66:22-24)

    Hello Jason,
My name is Scott Rankin and I have seen your website online. I really appreciate the Biblical position that you are taking regarding Christmas! Thank you very much for your powerful influence and keep up the good work!
I would like to send you a copy of a new Christian book. This is actually my book, and it is rooted in the same exact solid Christian principles, and faith of following God wherever he leads, concepts that I feel you are demonstrating on your website. Can you please forward me your mailing address? I will send it immediately.
I just started my own marketing campaign trying to do this myself (I could not afford taking the direction of hiring big publishing companies and big marketing companies – you know exactly what it’s like to build on your own), And I am actually needing some help spreading the word from people who sincerely love God, follow his guidance against all opposing forces, and encourage others to do the same.
Later in this email, I’m also going to give you a 100% off coupon so that you can experience and enjoy the audio and ebook version I’ve created too. If you would please, just take 7 minutes and read the introduction – it should give you a straight-up synopsis of where this book intends to take its readers. To give you a spoiler, the secret purpose of my book is to awaken their spiritual eyes and gently lead my audience away from today’s surrounding culture influences and lead them closer to God. We use the ‘topic of Christmas’ as a conversation platform to have open dialogue that will eventually encourage the reader to –
let God lead your life… not the world!

I’m actually a former high school teacher and I have written the book on an 8th grade reading level. It is short in length with large font and it should take the average reader about four hours to finish (perfect for a round-trip airplane ride). When you make it to chapter 4, I talk about Gideon and the oppression of God’s people (the Israelites) from the neighboring enemy of the Midianites. There, I want my readers to feel today’s connection between the Christmas traditions that are leading us away from what God has told us to do and conditioning the minds of Christians to believe and follow what the world is telling them Christmas should be. Christians today are oppressed, but they don’t know it. BUT WE CAN OVERCOME!!! Just like God rescued his people from oppression after Gideon’s obedience, honor, and worshipping God… the way God had asked him to… God then performed a miracle and rescued the whole country from oppression!!
I want to kindly urge more “Christian” hearts (who’s thinking has been “conditioned” by worldly surroundings) to willingly lay down culture’s influences, and seek the influence of a perfect heavenly father… then expect by faith that he can and will rescue us from the troubles we’ve gotten ourselves into!
It’s a good message of hope and spiritual growth!
Nevertheless, if you feel like the book gently encourages people to turn their hearts towards God and away from today’s influences… if you feel like I do this in a way that is not condemning at all but encouraging and uplifting… and if you feel like the motivation and foundation of this book is not based upon opinion but based wholly and completely on the word of God… then please, I ask if you would share it with friends and family, and also with those who love God within your audience.
As a huge blessing and ‘thank you’ to you, your website, and/or your ministry, I would like to offer something huge in return. I would like to give you half of all of my book sales profits (50%) that you help generate through sharing the news of my new book during the months of November and December 2021.
I would do this through my affiliates program which I have set up on my website. There is a link I can give you, called a “Share Link”. The target audience is Christians who love God and want to follow Him. This link can either be shared with your friends and family on social media, or you can even post this link in the description box underneath any (biblically based?) videos (maybe even do a book review video???). Whenever someone clicks and follows this link and makes a purchase, you instantly earn half of whatever the sale was! At the end of December, I can then tally up all of the sales and send you a check to either you or your ministry (or I can see if I can deliver it through PayPal or something).
Just so that you know and understand everything about which I’m asking you to share, I would like to give you my audio + eBook product for free. (I only have two products):
    a. the paperback version (which I’d like to send you)
    b. and my online “Audio + eBook + Bonus pdf downloads” version
go to http://www.ScottRankin.com and choose the “Audio + eBook Bonus” for $17.99
use promo code: STAYBIBLICAL and click ‘apply’ to get 100% off
then you can know and share the experience with others

Jason, Please feel free to give me a call if you’ve got any questions about my request and offer.
    Thanks again!

  2. Sorry Jason, I thought that would go straight to your personal email… you can take the above reply off your website. oops, my bad

  3. What about Hanukkah – The Festival of Lights? Is this to be celebrated based on a biblical perspective? I don’t see it in your list of biblical days of observances. It is mention in John 10, but why would a Jewish holiday be mentioned only in the New Testament? Thanks, Doug

    1. Well, the reason you can’t see it in the list of the biblical days of observances is because God has never commanded the people to celebrate it. In fact, Hanukkah is only a man made tradition which was already celebrated at the time of Jesus. The feast is even a breach of God’s commandments because it changes the number of the arms of a Menorah, which is a symbol of the seven spirits of God. For your reference, you can look up the difference between a Menorah and a Hanukkiah.

Below, you can find the passage where God commanded the making of a Menorah:

      1. Jason,
After the death of Christ we were set free from the practices and laws of the old testament. We live only by the laws of the new testment today. We do not see birthday celebrations, anniversary celebrations, retirement celebrations, or even Thanksgiving celebrations in the Bible. We have the freedom to have family traditions as long as Christ is the center of everything. We are not to worship any other Gods. As long as we keep this commandment, I see nothing wrong with any family celebrations including having your own family Christmas get together. The festivals in the old testament specifically were to worship false Gods. That is not what true Christians are doing today.

        1. I would be quite careful about ignoring the old testament. Jesus fulfilled the law, but the commandments of God still stand for our protection. Serving false gods would still be condemned by Jesus as He said to love God with all our heart, mind, and soul. Deuteronomy chapter 5:7-9 clearly states to have no other gods before YHVH.

As for the laws of the new testament to live by Jesus proclaims the greatest commandment as…

Matthew 22:36-38 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.

If we truly love God we don’t celebrate or worship anything that reduces the GLORY of Jesus Christ.

santa is a direct transposition of satan. A star on top of a christmas tree is a pentagram in most cases. Jesus was not born in the winter. this can be proven quite easily. So who is the dec 25th date really celebrating? Obviously God never commanded us to celebrate the birth of a pagan god. Church history has been marred by those that have compromised the Word of God.

Easter is also pagan in origin. Look at the god ishtar and compare that pagan holiday with what the bible says.

Its clear as day, but perhaps santa/satan is more important than taking a stand for what is right. We are fast approaching a time where the wheat is going to be separated from the tares.

I am not questioning your faith. I am just a filthy rag and need a saviour just as everyone else in this messed up world.

Praise God that Jesus died for every sin we could ever commit. But lets walk uprightly and call out the devil and all his devices to lead others to true repentance.

2Tim 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

    2. All humbleness I will say that the Jewish observance were abolished at the cross, not the seven Holy Days that God told us to keep from generation to generation.

  4. None of this is actually true. Unless the catholic church now sacrifice bulls. The tradition celebrates the birth of Jesus, so it’s biblical. Saying Christians can’t do things that aren’t biblical is silly, anyway.

    1. I can respect what you are saying. We are all free..(this far), to our own opinion and believes.
God said that right now we understand dimly compare to the understanding we will have when Christ returns.

    2. That’s true. I agree that Christmas isn’t explicitly mentioned in the bible, but its a day to celebrate Jesus and a good opportunity to spread the Word to others. Unless you celebrate things like Santa that are clearly against Christian teachings there is no harm in the Holdiay.

    1. Those scriptures just record that Jesus was born . Absolutely no mention to celebrate his birth on December 25 ! No Christmas was mention in those scriptures ! When some one gives you factual scriptures to learn Gods truth , why do you and others ignore it! Gods words does not contradict itself , if it did then it’s just man’s words! I advise you to look up other sites how Christmas and Easter started you will be educated and not be naive and ignorant in these pagan holidays!

    2. if Christmas was about the birth of Jesus then how were people in the bible celebrating the birth of Jesus before he was ever born? sadly, some people just refuse to accept or hear the truth and my suggestion is that before you run around with incorrect information, research Christmas, Easter, and all the other pagan celebrated holidays that you will find on any calendar marked as a federal holiday. If pagans celebrate or observe something, chances are huge that obedient born-again Christians are not partaking in their festivities. The bible tells us what holidays we as Christians are to observe and if it’s not on that list, then don’t observe, celebrate or partake in festivities. God doesn’t confuse us or leave us hanging without having an answer as to how we are to go about certain situations. everything is covered in the bible and the deeper relationship you build with Jesus, the more that is revealed to us and we never have to question how to behave or act that’s pleasing to God because he tells us all we need to know. I hope you are hit with a heavy dose of truth and a knowledge and love for the truth so that you can see things that are deceptive or meant to deceive you and those that are true you can rest assured that there’s no doubt as to its accuracy. Christians have a love of the truth, a love for the truth, a love of knowledge that leads us closer and a stronger bond with our father God. Those who dont have a love for truth are the ones who cant tell it, they are incessant liars, truth is unrecognizable to them and they take after the devil who is a master deceiver and father of lies. Obedient Christians aren’t liars. children of the devil (pagans & so on) hate the truth. you cant have one leg in an honest, good, genuine, ns God-led world and the other in the pagan world which is full of wickedness, evil, lies, confusion, misery, deception, sexual immorality, and everything that is sinful & destructive, murder, pain, pride, greed, narcissism, hatred and all that falls under these perverse topics.

      1. Also coming into the truth you’ll find that the Heavenly Father’s name is YAHWEH and was taken out of the bible 6,823 times..YHWH is the tetragrammaton meaning He who exists..let YAHWEH reveal more truth and search out why God is a title and not His name..May YAHWEH bless

    3. Jesus wants to make people to be happy at any time of the year through a person. Freely we have received all things freely give is saying, product will stay in the store untill you hand over cold hard cash? Ask and receive seek and find is how much is in your wallet? Christmas to a buissness is good when they made a hefty amount on money. That is what the theives in the temple thought. They were fooling people. That fooling mentality exists today. Make people think that Christmas is all about Jesus, when Christmas is about getting rid of their inventory, and increasing their bank account.

    4. The Bible telling the story of Christ’s birth is not Christmas. There is not a date ever attached to the story of his birth. Please research and understand more.

  5. The Catholic church is the one true faith outside of which there is no salvation. The current church in the Vatican is NOT CATHOLIC, it is a prophesied counter-church with its apostate so called popes. They are not true popes, the last true pope was Pius XII. Please read the material here at vaticancatholic.com

    1. Jesus and Jesus Christ alone is the ONLY way to God the Father and Heaven. Jesus Himself said it and the Catholic church is nothing but a counterfeit religion mixing God’s truths with blatant lies. Remember, Satan masquerades as a angel of light to deceive the masses and the Catholic church is a perfect example of his deception.

  6. Can I just ask first, how can anyone think that celebrating our Lord Jesus Christ’s birthday is pagan? We literally give out gifts, we spread love, and yet you call it pagan because it weren’t mentioned in the Bible. We know why we do it, we remember the Lord’s birthday, and yet it ain’t a commandment it is something that we can do as a beautiful way of acknowledging the word. And I can’t believe I have to go over this again but the Jeremiah 10 verse is not talking about Christmas trees, it is talking about the apostles turning trees into idols! You need to read the whole chapter before jumping to conclusions because you can’t leave it at that verse. I can’t believe how negative you have all turnt, thinking that even celebrating the Lord’s birthday is pagan. God is good!

    1. December 25th isn’t about the birth of Christ. Jesus never celebrated his birthday. John the baptist was beheaded on his birthday. Do we celebrate that?

Why celebrate a specific date at all? Especially a date God never commanded. Isn’t that in direct violation of scripture? Read Isaiah and Jeremiah and see what happened to the nation of Israel when they went after false gods.

We are to worship God 365 days a year. We don’t need a church or government telling us what day to do that.

  7. Alan here in the comments section obviously didn’t read why people observe Christmas on Dec. 25th. It’s to appeal to pagans. The Bible talks about adorning a tree with silver and gold as a pagan tradition. Shame on these churches who decorate accordingly.

  8. This will be the first year I don’t celebrate after eye opening, insomnia inducing information came my way.
My baby daughter will never know this holiday how I did. I feel a bit lost and I’m trying to find my way with god after years of conditioning against god from family and people who surrounded me.

    1. It’s OK. better to please God than man.

      John 14:1-6
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Following Jesus leads to life. The alternative is death. Stay strong and pray often. Jesus loves you and your daughter.

Read the bible daily and get into a bible believing church. God bless.

  9. We know that Jesus is not the Messiah. The 1st century Jews were caught up in apocalyptic texts such as Daniel and Enoch and somehow perceived Jesus to be the eschatological figure.

Between phantom passages about the Hebrew Bible apparently prophesying a dying and rising Messiah, misinterpreted passages, and other misconceptions about the Hebrew Bible, the writers of the gospels, whoever they may have been, were not well versed in the Bible.

Even more complications arise when Paul is thrown into the picture. It’s not surprising that not even 20 years after Jesus that there were at least 2 different groups of his followers. The first group, headed by Peter and James, were teaching Jewish law was crucial. They were essentially normal Jews who believed Jesus was the Messiah, which even Jesus himself was an observant Jew. Paul, on the other hand, claims to have a revelation of Jesus on the road, but every time he tells the story it is different. His message is also vastly different from those mentioned above. His message completely abolishes Jewish law and has no regard for any of it. He twists the Hebrew Bible to make it show that one cannot be righteous through the commandments, but solely through faith. Principles such as these are not found anywhere in the Hebrew Bible. Paul didn’t even meet Jesus physically or walk with him like Peter and James did, so whose to say that “his gospel”, as he claims in Galatians, is even reputable.

    Baruch HaShem!

    1. Psalms 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Isaiah 9:6-7 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

Isaiah 7:7 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

Isaiah 47:4 As for our redeemer, the Lord of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel.

Jeremiah 50:34 Their Redeemer is strong; the Lord of hosts is his name: he shall throughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.

Psalms 46:7 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Psalms 46:11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Matthew was quite Jewish. So it wasn’t a gentile that wrote the Gospel of Matthew.

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Matthew 1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

      John was also quite Jewish.

John 1:36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

      John also wrote Revelations.

Revelations 15:3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.

Matthew 16:13-17 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar–jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 27:22-23 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.
23 And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Matthew 27:50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

History records the death of Jesus. To deny this fact is just pure ignorance.

Jesus was buried and rose again the 3rd day according to scripture. His bones have never been found. Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father in Heaven.

The issue is unbelief. Many Jews will be delivered according to Revelations. That period of time is coming soon and will be hell on earth.

To disregard the New Testament is to put it bluntly, total ignorance. Much of the New Testament is direct quotes from the Old Testament.

What purpose is there in quoting the original Hebrew?

The purpose would be to glorify the God of the Old Testament.

And according to the Old Testament Hebrew, The LORD of Hosts is the Messiah (redeemer).

Jews have rejected the Messiah. They rejected The LORD of Hosts in the Old Testament time and time again. Jerusalem has been destroyed countless times due to their backsliding and stiffneckedness all throughout the Torah.

Some things just never change. Even today Jews are rejecting the truth of the Bible. There is a coming point in time where that will change.

Matthew 24:6-8 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Jews will be delivered when they turn to the True God and saviour!

Matthew 24:13-14 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

When will this happen? When the antichrist is revealed. The middle of the final 7 year period of God’s judgement on planet earth.

Matthew 24:15-18 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

Revelations 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

The woman is Israel. Again why would the New Testament show deliverance for the Jews?

It’s all about the Messiah, The LORD of Host, Jesus Christ.

Revelations 22:16-21 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
